That is exactly why I bought the Mavic. Vacation camera platform for when we travel to get shots like that. Fortunately, you live there (we are freezing in Ontario) and an video that all the time. Fantastic. Nice production/music as well.

Thanks! Mavic is so easy to travel with. Almost everything fit in my winter coat pockets!

Nice thing compared to Phantom or Q500 platforms; the narrower lens FOV forces you to fly higher to get the same shot. That means quieter and less visible, both good things. Previous times I flew this course I was almost half the height for the same scene. Downside is I was bumping up against the 95m limit I set in the app.

Snow has benefits too...we get warmer winters but lots of storms and wind. If you can find some icy falls and snow that has a charm all its own.
