Hello to all that read this. I'm a first time owner of Mav Pro 2. I've flown hobby R/C's, Fixed Wing, Helicopters and Quads. Never anything this sophisticated. My purpose of joining this forum is to learn and connect with local flyers near west Sonoma County California. Wow, I'm very impressed with this DJI Mavic Pro 2.

Welcome. Do know that trees denigrate signal strength considerably, so I'd advise go nearer the coast till you get some time in your logbook. I'm in Humboldt and I stay completely clear of trees in favor of the coastline. Read the past posts, there's a wealth of information within.

Having been. a Foreign Radar and Missile specialist for the USAF and Navy, I understand the propagation of R/F though free space. You are correct, trees are excellent signal attenuators. I appreciate the advice. I'm concentrating on flying first but it's the photography and video I really want to get into.
