Had some connection issues this past weekend. Had the MPP 3500+ feet out when the screen went blank. Thankfully I could fly home with the remote alone. So Im pretty sure the issue was the cable. Any one have a certain cable they recommend over others?

If you use an iOS device then use a normal lightning wire,and with an Android a normal micro USB wire. You may use the USB port on the bottom of the RC.
OTG is for connecting USB devices to android.
The RC is the USB host and is an "accessory" to the phone.
Make sure you're not plugging into the charging port on the RC.
I had one that must've not had enough resources to it that it dropped the picture (it was only a few feet away). My higher end devices never lose the picture.
