Innocent until proven guilty last time I checked. Time will tell.

Can anyone give me a précis please?
"The owner of Thunder Drones, a drone repair shop in Gwinnett County, Georgia, was arrested under "Operation Skyhawk" for allegedly aiding gangs in smuggling contraband into prisons using drones. This operation is considered the largest of its kind in Georgia, involving smuggling items like ecstasy, meth, guns, and cellphones. Over 50 drones were seized in raids, and significant amounts of drugs and weapons were recovered. The investigation, starting in November 2022, led to 146 arrests, including eight correctional officers, and stopped approximately 170 prison drops ."

Conman is probably more like it. Hopefully they will make an example out of him. People like this usually Steal other customers drones to use for their nefarious purposes. Are you sure you got the SAME Drone back?

Although he has yet to be convicted, the whole thing sheds a dark image on our business. However, like anything else, it's not a drone issue, it is a criminal with a drone issue.

May be jumping the gun. As mentioned previously, innocent until proven guilty.
I was not speaking directly about him. I was talking about anyone who would use a drone for doing jail drops!

All I know of this bloke is that he was a pain the rear when he was an active member on the forum and made many wild claims about his experience

I think you may have jumped the gun yourself. I didn't read his post the way you did. In fact, I read it the way it was explained.

Could be. I make mistakes every day.

I don't.

What's wrong with you?

😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

And if the smileys didn't get the point across, that was purely a joke, for the humor impaired 😁

I started the thread to see if anyone has any update. Then I realize that I’m the best candidate to know updates since I’m local to the story. Sorry you guys have had some bad dealings with Thunderdrones. Rob repaired a couple of drones for me. The last time I needed a repair I delivered and picked up to save shipping time.

As they were escorting him to jail he was asked by reporter if he was guilty and his response was, “I don’t think so, I just repair drones”. He also reiterated that Thunderdrones is still open for business and when this was cleared up he’d love to give an interview. Not a typical response IMO. However as of yesterday, Thunderdrones is CLOSED. I’d be pretty upset if my drone was in the shop for repair and I couldn’t retrieve it due to police confiscation. I’ll stay close to the story and keep you all posted.
