Agree as long as one doesn't try to optimize it perfectly via the histo. Better a slight blowout (if it's a small area) or an under exposure if the highlight area covers a lot of the image area. Repair in post.

Agreed. A little too much Max Headroom syndrome. The only solace I take is that the first 2 minutes of video probably took him hours to edit like that...
