Where do you fly from on a hot day? This is what I have resorted to... I like it!

Haha, right out of the sunroof.

I don't think I'd launch off a car. I'm super paranoid about bogus compass info at takeoff, so I get away from metal.

Regarding hot days, well that's almost all of them down here in swelterland. Own the sweat.

Have had to do this several times in the woods when the mosquitos were acting like fat ladies at the casino buffet.
Never launched from the inside of the vehicle, but did do extended flights while sitting inside.
I found that if I turned the M2P on inside the truck, I would have to do a compass calibration. So instead, I would turn the controller on inside the truck, jump out and turn on the AC, jump back into the truck and do the flight.
Tough to fly and photo while battling blood-thirsty mosquitos.

I normally turn it on once I have it above the roof to avoid that issue. Also, I don't know how safe this is, but if you just take off anyways the compass error goes away as soon as you get into the air.

Nick, how far was the city from where you launched?

Lately I've been doing flight practice and R&D on my drone rig inside a huge air-conditioned warehouse that will soon be the new Metal Shop for the Dallas Makerspace. ;)
How huge is the warehouse?

Probably around two miles, if you look up climax Street Atlanta where I was, it's actually a famous little street, many many movies and TV shows have been filmed on that small strip.

You flew right into the city from where you sat. Nice....I also have the Zoom and I like it a lot. I learned if you master the settings and use the proper filters according to the day, the zoom can be just as impressive as the M2Pro....

Huge fan of flying from inside the car, however every car is a little different and should be tested for Magnetic Interference. Once you know your car is Mavic Friendly your good to go.

I thought maybe the WIpers might cause some interference but they did not.

Gear to fly in the rain.

Nick, another question... Why don't you invest in one of those car antenna mounting kits. They look like they have some potential. Matter of fact I'm going to look into one of those kits. I know YouTube's one and only nevermindyourown has mounted one one his car. Just a suggestion Nick...

not ranking on you but when it was pouring you did not lift off but when it stopped pouring and it was a very light rain you took off. I was hoping it was going to fly in the pouring rain. I do like the suit though. It is unique.

The Pro doesn't impress me at all, I think its a huge disappointment.

If you can’t edit, sure...

In daylight the footage doesn't look better and you have no optical zoom.... You do know when you zoom all the way in it compresses everything allowing you to get shots you just can't on the pro, not even with a digital punch in. The pro is a gimmick to get your money.
