YouTube stutter 2560 x 1440 pixels

I have a decent spec PC and fast fibre internet so was gutted when seeing stuttering in my panoramic shots and circles when watching playback from YouTube, I am viewing at 2560 x 1440 pixels which my monitor and graphic card support, having done a lot of searching I decided to follow many suggestions and give Firefox a try and what a difference it has made I can now run the video full screen and there is little if any stutter if you have had similar problem give it a try -

Most of us use Safari on the Mac which usually works fine, so what was the previous sub-standard browser that gave your problems prior?

Chrome and Edge both stuttered Chrome was worse, to be honest I am glad it happened I have rediscovered my like of Firefox browser.

My favourite ad-blocker uBlock Origin is being phased out by chrome (I wonder why) fortunately it's still available in Firefox.

Google Chrome has begun to phase out uBlock Origin. The developer of the free ad blocker, Raymond Hill, recently reposted a screenshot that shows Chrome automatically turning off uBlock Origin because it is “no longer supported.”

I use Firefox on my PC and Safari on my mac. the others are junk.

Chrome & Edge use the same engine under the hood so not surprising they both struggle. Good news for Firefox though!

I had stutter when saving the video files in H265 format. I changed over to H264 and the stutter went away for all of my other video players.
Not sure if what I see is what you're talking about. When playing the H265 videos, the playback would "hesitate" every couple of seconds continuously when playing Windows Media Player or VLC.
