THREE wundercases heading my way! I have a bunch of stuff that I don't have hard cases for - photo camera, several action cameras, powerbanks, chargers, and too many wunderphones to count. $24 - less than I paid for one soft Mavic case. Kudos to the OP for the tip! ThumbswayupThumbswayupThumbswayup

I'm never on here at the right time! It looks like it was a mistake and they fixed it. It's not a nice neat aluminum case for $8 anymore but instead two small zippered cases for $8. Rats!

I saw those as a “color” option for the listing of the aluminum case. When I looked maybe 20 minutes ago, there was only 1 aluminum case left...

I see the same one or very similar £15 on ebay here, its still good at that price if you want a hard case.
It's a useful case to eventually store other stuff like power tools or cameras.
- When Mavic 2 comes out with slightly different shape and altered batteries so you have to buy everything again

Just got 3 mine, WOW!!!!!!! Indeed, the Steal of the Millenium!!! All-around Al, very very sturdy, good quality. Foam is quite firm, but all cutouts are made perfectly. What I also like about this case is that it has nicely rounded exterior, unlike those boxy plastic Pelican-like cases with reinforcing ribs sticking out. Compact and just totally sweet. Also, I like that when carrying it by handle, Mavic is sitting on its butt with gimbal pointing up, unlike some cases where it rests on gimbal cover or is sideways. BTW, mine came with no branding whatsoever, no YIta Motor, nada. Which is great, I hate to be a walking advertisement.

Gonna order pick'n'pluck foam to customize two cases for cameras and stuff.

$24 delivered for 3 cases... UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Many thanks to the OP for sharing this amazing deal! ThumbswayupThumbswayupThumbswayupThumbswayupThumbswayupThumbswayupThumbswayup

FLASH NEWS!!! Two news, actually.:oops::mad::confused::D:D:D

Bad news first.

It turns out the panels are indeed either plastic or cardboard (of similar type like backing of photo frames). I pulled back the top foam a bit to see the panel and it's brown cardboard or plastic inside, with brushed aluminum foil/film outside. ROTFLMAO

Good news? This case is still super sturdy, when you push on the panels from outside, they don't bend at all as if they were like 2mm solid aluminum. The case is still rock solid regardless.

And finally, the awesome news. For $7.99, this case is (was) still a steal. My ~$30 Doubi semi-soft case is going to be retired by this case. I'm still very happy that I got 3 of these.

So here we go. We can handle the Truth! :D

I suspected that would be the case (no pun intended) but that's fine, sounds like a very sturdy case. Mine should arrive today and I cannot wait!

Don't worry, you'll be happy with it. But if someone were to strip it of foam and use it to carry tools, for example, the panels would probably give with time from bouncing heavy tools. For Mavic, cameras and such, it's a great case.

Brand new here (first post) but this place has already hit two home runs with me so far - I was able to snag one of those Huawei phones, and I grabbed one of these cases for my new Mavic (which I don't officially "get" until Christmas - even though it's in my possession already).

For $7.99 shipped, this case is a steal. I haven't investigated it like you have to determine that the panels are cardboard or other material. Honestly, from the sturdiness I figured they were thin aluminum. But either way, they'll do a good job of holding and protecting the Mavic and accessories. I just received it yesterday and gave it a once over last night. On first review, which I want to confirm, it appears that the carry handle and mounting brackets for it may be plastic and not metal. I didn't feel like they were inadequate, though. My foam is cut well, but when they stacked the top layer on, they were off by a millimeter or two, so mine has a slight shelf effect about 3/4 inch down, or so. Not enough to affect performance, and definitely not enough to make me feel negative about an $8 purchase.

I would like to get a more pack-friendly case for the Mavic at some point, for when I'm hiking in somewhere. This one will be great for general transporting and is what the drone will reside in when it's on the shelf at home. Thanks for the great recommendations!
