Hi Guys,

have a big problem.
Wanted to update via PC and unfortunately everything hung at 64%.
Then the PC screen said I should reconnect / restart the drones.

Now the drone doesn't start up properly and the fan runs.
You can no longer pair with the controller either.
Furthermore, the PC does not recognize the drone when I connect the USB cable.

About the only thing you can do at this point if you're stuck is call DJI Customer Support. They must have a trick or two you can try. I don't know what CS is like in Germany/Europe, but I've found it better to call than to write.

There are many things that you can do but first:
What version of 'Assistant 2' are you using? I cannot see from your photo.

I think it should now be this one.

DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drones Series)

Support the consumer drones series products, including mavic series.

But First
Try a different battery. It may be the battery causing the update to halt.

Second
Try 'DJI Assistant 2 for Mavic' V2.0.14
I was using this version until a couple of months ago.

Still no joy?
See if you can get a version of 'Assistant 2_v_112'. Try here
You can try a factory reset
and then use 'Assistant 2 (Consumer Drone Series)'.

Does any of this help?

Just one more thing.
Do not assume that the update has failed because the drone switches off.
Sometimes it might take several restarts to get the update to finish with the green tick 1664810587532.png

Hi,

many thanks for all the tips.
Will try with a different battery.
I used the latest DJI Assistant 2 software.
But the current problem is that the PC doesn't recognize anything when I connect it via USB.

The drone also does not start properly when turned on (see video)
It seems to me that the drone system is only partially booting and the usb ports etc. are not starting

With your drone plugged into the computer.
Right click on This PC in file explorer

and click on Manage

This will take you to the Computer Management window

Scroll down and open the
Ports (COM & LPT) tab.
Now power up the drone.
You should see an additional COM PORT

In my case it is COM3 but it may vary.

If you do not see an additional COM Port then yes there is no connection.
In the case of no connection I would try a different connection cable. And look again for the COM Port.

Unplug your PC if your USB ports aren't working, not turn it off, unplug it from the power supply while it's running. Then restart it ,in normal mode when the prompt appears and your USB ports should be reinstalled and working. The reason they stop working is because you plugged a USB device in to many times in succession. If the unplugging it method doesn't work there are a few other options you can try that are pretty easy to follow and are freely available online.

Hello, everyone,

I even tried everything on another PC, but unfortunately both don't recognize the drone. No matter where I put the cable, nothing happens

I am confused by your initial photo.
It looks like you are trying to downgrade to firmware version V01.00.0670.
Also, even though we cannot see the front LEDs, they appear from the reflective light to be both green.

LEDs whilst booting the drone the front LEDs will be Red and stay Red after boot.
The only time I have seen two green front LEDs is directly after a successful update of the firmware before switching off the drone. (Switch the drone on again and the front LEDs will be Red.)

I suggest you try this. (even though it seems nonsense)
1. Start 'Assistant 2 (Consumer Drone Series)' plug in a micro-USB cable, connect and switch on, your standard controller.
Refresh or Update the controller firmware to V01.00.0770.
The above should prove that Assistant 2; the cable; and USB port; are working as expected.
Did this go OK or not?
If successful.
2. Do not switch off or close down Assistant 2. Switch off the controller and disconnect/unplug it.
Now connect the drone to the PC and try a boot.
What are the LEDs showing?
If all is well you should see two red LEDs at the front and flashing LEDs at the rear.
3.Try to upgrade the drone to firmware version V01.00.0770
Please reply and let us know what is happening.

Hi, everyone,

sent the drone to DJi and got the following reply:

Core Board Module has malfunctioned,
which caused fail to update the firmware. Reminder:
After repair/replacement, faulty unit or parts will not
be returned.

Do you have an idea what to do or is there nothing I can do but pay the 460€
