Mavic air 2 switch to FCC mode using an android app

That shouldn't be a problem, they seem to be the same as RC-N1 (it's the one I have).

Maybe the phone is the problem? I'm running android 13 (Galaxy S20).

Did you try to uninstall and reinstall both FCC app and DJI Fly app?
Running Android 14, Pixel 6. Will try to uninstall them and report back, thanks.

Android 14 might be the problem. I've read that for sometime even the paid hacks had a problem with that. If the generous guy that made this hack and put it here doesn't upgrade it, it might simply not work with Android 14.

If that's the case, do you have an older phone, maybe?

Please let me know the outcome.

Good luck.

I have android 14 (Oneplus 11) and the patch app is working just fine on my air2s. It did not work though on my Oneplus 6 (Android 11), same drone, same cables, same firmware.

Hello All,
I have created an android app which allows switching from CE to FCC mode .

APK is attached , usage (currently need to use bottom type C port for patch only):
1.connect mavic air 2 controller bottom type C cable to your android device , turn on the controller .
2.run my application and press the patch button .
3.change your phone usb connection to normal top one.
4.then open DJI fly app normally and you can obsereve the change in the transmission tab .
Link to the apk
Thank you!! It worked with my DJI Mini 4K. The 1km line did change and now I can fly it further than before. For me it's not permanent, every time I turn off the drone I have to apply the patch, but I don't care! I'm so happy it worked that I don't mind applying the patch every time I fly the drone .

Lucky you!
It worked with my ex-drone Mini 2 SE but unfortunately it doesn't with my new Air 3... 🙄

For some reason I cant make this work.
I am using Mini 2 se w/ RCN1
Tried with my android 14 (Poco F4 gt) and android 10 (galaxy s8), followed the instructions above but for some reason it does not work. When I click the patch it shows patched successfully but when I checked the transmission 1km line is still below 90.

Aircraft version: 01.00.0500
RC version: 04.11.0400

Hi there!

Try this way, following this order:

1- Install fcc hack app on your phone

Then, with no cables connected and Fly app / FCC Hack app not running:

2- Switch on the drone
3- Switch on the remote and wait them to sync
4- Connect the remote bottom usb-c to your phone - the FCC Hack app should then open by it self within a few seconds; if it doesn't open, tap it to open
5- Once FCC Hack app is open, tap "patch" and you will get a message "patched successfuly" - then minimize the app (do not close it)
6- Disconnect the usb-c from the bottom of the remote and connect it on the top usb-c port of the remote (I use two different cables to make it easier) - The DJI Fly app should now open by itself after a few seconds
7- Now you should be on FCC mode! Just check it on the transmission menu.

Now go and fly safe!

Bear in mind that you have to redo the complete process every time you disconnect the drone or the remote (even just for changing the battery)

Well, I have good news for you - both pictures you posted above show that your drone is in FCC mode. 😄
Are you located in the US by any chance?
Nope, I am located in philippines, is it really in FCC mode? Last time I checked PH is CE country.

I was trying to do this hack because I usually lost connection around 200m distance so I was pretty sure I was on CE mode.

It really is FCC mode, yes.
You can compare with mine in the photos bellow.

If you were losing connection around 200m distance, something is not correct. In normal circumstances and in open field, CE mode will give you at least 1000 to 1500m, whereas FCC can give you at least 3000m.
