Want to improve flight experience. For the same $$ I can purchase DJI Goggles RE or the note 8 with 1200 nit screen. I've only seen problems reported with the goggles and no reports indicating the problems are fixed. Facts? Opinions? Thoughts? Would be appreciated.

The problem with the goggles RE has been acknowledged now by DJI and you can send the unit in for repair.
I do not know if new purchases come fixed or if they will need to be sent in. Knowing DJI, they will need to be sent in as the problem is only with the M2's.

Problem has been fixed for several people including myself by the M2 firmware update that came out 2 weeks ago.

Yup. Never had a good flight before in a dozen attempts, and the first (admittedly only one so far) one after the update was flawless to >2x the distance I could ever achieve before.

I never really believed the hardware issue thing since the same goggles had no problem at all with either the M1 or Ocusync unit.
