Mavic air 2 switch to FCC mode using an android app

Hi Galbb, I forgot to thank you as creator of this patch in an earlier post, THANK YOU!!!

Not really sure what your patch does, but I guess it changes the GPS location code in the drone firmware. So this should be independent of the App used to fly?

And the sequence that I described earlier probably hard codes a location indicator in the new firmware.

Anyway, you made lots of flyers very happy!
Hi, I am glad that the app helped a lot of flyers, All the patch does is to send a command to the drone to enter fcc mode, as you said it could be that the new firmwares are locking the drone to the first region after the update or there are region variants of the fimware, I can't confirm that because I only have one drone and I don't want to lose the ability to be in fcc mode.

Anything I can check?
I see that in the app you're sending some command through usb serial port. Can you provide any more info on that?
The (paid) hack for the RC controller (some guy doing an FCC hack permanent for RC pro Controller) still works, so I guess it's still doable.

Hello All,
I have created an android app which allows switching from CE to FCC mode .

APK is attached , usage (currently need to use bottom type C port for patch only):
1.connect mavic air 2 controller bottom type C cable to your android device , turn on the controller .
2.run my application and press the patch button .
3.change your phone usb connection to normal top one.
4.then open DJI fly app normally and you can obsereve the change in the transmission tab .
Link to the apk
Hello; Did several installation of the patch without any change of the 1km positioning. Mini3Pro/RC-N1. Have followed the instructions carefully. Any suggestions why?

Because there is something in the new firmware that is blocking the patch.

But I wondering How in some paid modded dji fly app is working without patching from the serial port before opening dji fly app.

Thank you for following up!
Did also try the «Fake my GPS App», without any luck..,

Just to let you know - no longer working with latest firmware on Mini 3 Pro. The app says patch successful, but no fcc mode (the transmission tab shows no changes and the range is bad).

I can confirm that the same is happening with my DJI Mini 2. Was working perfectly since I bought it, but now the hack does not work anymore. It says that patch succesful but the drone operates in CE mode. As it was mentioned before, the drone became a toy. I am very dissapointed with DJI and I do not know if I will keep the drone in case it remains in CE mode.

What combination of drone and RC-N1 firmwares and DjiFly are you running? Also what's your sequence at start up? It should work??

Folks;

Did download a modified DJIflyApp yesterday (2023/04/30) for all my DJI Drones incl my Mini3Pro (latest firmware) from these guys Download information | Drone Tweaks. FCC fully functioning and GREAT SERVICE!!
Wow, that is a great tip! So if I download the app version here on my smartphone and run it, it overwrites the last installed version and unlocks the FCC mode automatically so that I don't have to run the Galbb patch every time on my Mini 2? That would be super!

DJI Fly v.1.10.1(1005-official), aircraft firmware 01.07.0200, RC firmware 04.11.0200.

I will also try the Drone Tweaks app, although I don't like the subscription pricing model. I hope this app is compatible with my firmware version.

Just tested the app on my Air2s running the latest firmware (whatever that is on 2/5/23)
Used the short usb cable that came with controller. The phone (Oneplus 11 running android 13) detected the controller and prompted me to open the FCC app, The patch was successful. Switched to top port and the 90db mark is below the 1km so i guess it worked? Haven't flight tested it yet, test was done indoors with no GPS signal (in case it makes any difference)
FYI, last month i was testing the same drone & cable with my Oneplus 6 (running android 11). No prompt to run the FCC app and no luck when ran manually (controller not detected). But the fly app worked just fine on the bottom port, so no clue why it did not work on my old phone.
