If it's inverted, or tilted at an extreme angle, it engages the drone's auto shutoff. With the top mounted battery it's almost sure to flip over, and try to stay that way, due to gravity. Pretty sure that would negate the ability to restart, and recover.

The Mavic Pro (used in the video I posted) has the same feature, however, I couldn’t clearly see if the aircraft inverted in the test.

Reminds me of the movie Top Gun. When Mavic and Goose take a pic of a Mig pilot. He says, in a cocky fashion, "I was inverted."
