Hey there,

I'll be flying to Brisbane Australia in a few weeks and I plan to bring my Mavic 2 Pro and batts as a carry-on with my fly more bag. Not too worried about TSA giving any problems when boarding in Seattle just wondering what I should be aware of when arriving in Brisbane and going through Austrailian customs. I've gone over the CASA regs on Droneflyer | Recreational drone rules and regulation seem pretty similar to FAA Part 107. I'm also not doing any Commercial work just vacation/tourism.

Any pointers?

Thanks Much.

Customs shouldn't care about your Mavic.
They would treat you just like any other traveler arriving with a camera or laptop.

Be extremely careful if you do ant flying around popular beaches.
Surf patrol helicopters also fly the beach areas low and often.

Get CASAs "Can i fly there" app to show where you can fly. Dont rely on Airmap. It is not accurate here. In Queensland you can fly in National parks but if you cross the border to NSW they are not allowed in NPs there.

Just downloaded it Thanks Thumbswayup And that National park info is great to know as we will be driving down to Sydney from Brisbane. Cheers!
