Hi Guys
Does anyone want to suggest the cheapest phone or tablet with best battery life to use with controller for Mavic Pro available in the UK?
My iPhone SE from near fully charged lasted only about 15 minutes today.
Maybe I had the screen up too bright, maybe the batteries going who knows...
Okay...so yesterday afternoon I crashed my mavic and it landed in a small pond. I got it out as soon as possible 3-4 min and then processed to put the mavic in rice. Now the battery seemed to be working immediately afterword but now is is desolating all green lights and I cannot shut it off. I...
My latest Mavic Pro battery failed after only a few uses. Because it’s cells are faulty, DJI will not provide full or pro-rated replacement — not based on length-of-ownership warranty consideration, but because of an inherent manufacturing flaw that resulted in early failure.
”We sincerely...
Gotta love those Communists. One of my five Mavic Pro batteries had terminal cell failure yesterday. It’s been used fewer than 15 times. I requested a replacement after reading advice to a similarly-affected pilot on this forum.
DJI’s response:
“No worries, we will provide you with the best...

I recently bought a 4th battery and have found great use for it - but not for flying.
Four batteries may seem like overkill, since on any given outing I've found that it's unlikely the transmitter and/or phone will last much more than 3 batteries, but having a 4th is great for "tuning" purposes...
Hi guys,
I used to flying around with my Phantom 3 and Spark.
Now that I have the Mavic Air Combo, I've noticed that the controller barely last 6 fly sessions.
And then it takes up over 2 hours of charge time before it's fully charged again.
It seems that the controller has way less battery...
I have to confess that my Mavic Pro hasn't been out of its case since last fall. Today, I decided to recharge the batteries and update the software in preparation for some spring flying.
I checked the flight batteries and they were still at 3 bars as expected with the automatic discharged...
I have a question and am hoping some of you have had a similar scenario or the right technical knowledge and can advise.
I crashed my mavic. The battery that was in the drone at the time received some damage to the back side. Also the bottom, where the SN and other info is labeled, has what I...
So I was flying out over Commencement Bay this morning with my modified Mavic. I had two external batteries mounted among other modifications. I had recently replaced the ESC board and was noticing that the batteries seemed to be draining slightly faster over the last day or two. I suspect this...
Loving the hell out of my new MA! But this is only my 2nd drone since the P3A.
Q #1. On my P3A I had this setting where I can change the default battery discharge time from the default 10 days to something else. I cannot seem to find this in the MA DJI Go app. Is this even an option anymore?
Q...
Does anyone know why the power consumption in sport mode at full speed is about 15% higher (from radar readings) when going upwind vs no wind at all, even though the tilt angle is the same at the maximum tilt angle of 35°? Using the moving slab of air concept shouldn't the power consumption be...
As I receive always very helpful information in this forum,
I want to give a small tip about the CrystalSky when traveling.
Last week I drove with my motorcycle along countryside for flying my Mavic. When I found a nice place I took my CrystalSky out and noticed it was on and very hot. I think...
Does anyone know sizes of Mavic Air battery? While I'm waiting for my Air, I'd like to order some LiPo bags for batteries and struggling to find which of them would be the best fit.
Hey guys,
Just a quick question. I always assumed that when the Remote Controller is fully charged, it will show a BAT 100 PCT message and that's when you pull out the charging cable.
However, today, I charged the RC and then took a nap, and when I awoke about 1.5 hours later, the RC has no...
I'm a casual photographer who has been planning to get a drone (the Mavic Pro Platinum was my pick). Like many people here I'm trying to see how the Air stacks up.
I'd like to ask those of you with drones how important the flight time difference between the Pro and the Air might be. I won't be...
Hi guys.
How do You mostly store the batteries? Just keep them laying around or any safer solutions? I have heard that the Bat-Safe is a pretty safe bet and according to this test it should also be OK with Mavic sized batteries:
Ammo boxes are also pretty popular, also just keeping them on...
I'm on Firmware 1.04.0000 - been there for a while, and I don't want to go up. I've been flying with all my batteries on this version for a while now.
The other day, I was getting ready to fly where there was no cell service and no internet connection whatsoever. After powering up the RC and...
As we all know, the batteries used by the Mavic are "smart", in that they can:
Monitor themselves, including current, voltage, temperature, etc.
Detect and interface with devices, and supply that information to them
Discharge themselves over a period of time automatically
Know when they're...
On the TSA blog there is some dated material that is still referenced by the current TSA blog- Travel Tips Tuesday: Safely Packing Batteries for Your Trip
and the info contained in the PDF file is prolly just as current meaning- if they haven't changed it etc. Might want to consider printing...
