People tend to prefer unreal colors as they are used/bored to/by reality

Just to confirm this, I created this comparison footage and ~80% prefer left - "pumped" part (bear in mind my usual clips are somewhere in between ;) )
So I post this just for Your fun ;) Enjoy

I like them both, the one on the left seems to be sharper but it’s personal preference to what ones best;)

Yes, everybody has taste and it changes with the mood either ;) I made "pumped" first as a sole clip, but then remember how it was and remade it (Yes pumped it a bit - but far from that ;) )

The snow on the pumped version looks good, but you lost too much detail in the sky

Thank You, this was an exaggerated example - based on what I've learned I made some "final" version - short, mood matching soundtrack, colors in between ... hope You liked it
Lesson learned?

The whites in the sky in the "pumped up" were blown out, the ground looked OK, so I agree with you that somewhere in between the two was the best setting.
I wanted to say the same about the highlights. But you can edit that in a way in post... unless the information just „isn’t there“. I‘m very green in video editing but have some experience in photography.

Hardware-wise, that’s what you use an ND-filter for?
